Senior Dental Assistant / Clinical Coordinator
Help Shape a Practice from the Ground Up

Ready to step beyond a traditional chairside role and take ownership of how a practice runs clinically?

This is a standout opportunity for an experienced Senior Dental Assistant or Clinical Coordinator to join a friendly two-chair practice on Sydney’s Lower North Shore at an exciting stage of growth.

The practice is undergoing a full refurbishment, investing in new equipment and reviewing its clinical systems, workflows and processes. They are looking for someone experienced, organised and proactive who can help build a highly efficient, patient-focused clinical environment from the ground up.

This is not just another Dental Assistant role. You will have genuine input into how the practice operates and the opportunity to make a visible, lasting impact.

What You’ll Be Doing

You will play a key role in helping set up and refine the clinical side of the practice, including:

Setting up new surgeries, equipment and clinical spaces

Reviewing and improving sterilisation and infection control workflows

Introducing smarter stock management and ordering systems

Organising instruments, materials and storage

Creating clear and consistent clinical protocols

Supporting the implementation of new systems and processes

Training, mentoring and supporting Dental Assistants

Helping improve day-to-day efficiency across the practice

Working closely with the practice team to create a calm, organised and patient-focused environment

Identifying practical improvements and taking ownership of implementing them

About You

We are looking for someone who has strong clinical knowledge and naturally enjoys improving the way things are done.

You will ideally have:

Extensive Dental Assisting experience within Australian private practice

Strong infection control and sterilisation knowledge

Excellent organisational and leadership skills

Confidence recommending and implementing practical improvements

The ability to create structure, systems and consistency

A calm, positive and solutions-focused approach

Strong communication skills

The confidence to mentor and support other Dental Assistants

A genuine interest in practice efficiency and clinical coordination

Experience setting up a dental practice, introducing new systems, managing stock or working in a senior clinical position would be highly regarded.

Why This Role Is Different

This is an opportunity to bring your experience and ideas into a practice that genuinely wants your input.

Rather than walking into established systems and simply following them, you will have the chance to help shape:

How the surgeries are set up

How stock is managed

How sterilisation flows

How the clinical team works together

How protocols are developed

How the practice grows moving forward

If you are an experienced Dental Assistant who enjoys leadership, organisation and creating better systems, this could be the perfect next step in your career.

Interested?

This is a rare opportunity to step into a senior role where your experience, ideas and leadership skills will be genuinely valued.
