The position is ideally full-time, although part-time arrangements will be considered for the right applicant.

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities may include:

communicating directly with clients, opposing solicitors, agents and relevant authorities;

managing deadlines, file administration and billing requirements;

assisting with business development and the continued growth of the Burwood practice; and

delivering professional, responsive and practical client service.

About You

The successful applicant will:

be admitted as a lawyer of the Supreme Court of NSW;

hold a current NSW practising certificate without a condition requiring supervised legal practice;

have sufficient post-admission experience to manage matters independently;

have experience in one or more of Family Law, Property, Leasing, Wills and Estates or Probate;

have strong written and verbal communication skills;

have sound drafting, analytical and problem-solving skills;

be confident communicating directly with clients and taking carriage of matters;

have excellent attention to detail and time-management skills;

take a practical and solutions-focused approach to legal work;

demonstrate professionalism, integrity and sound judgement; and

be able to work independently while contributing positively to a small and growing team.

Experience across all of our practice areas is not required. We are particularly interested in applicants with strong experience in two or more of the principal areas who are comfortable developing a broader general practice.

flexibility around working hours where appropriate;

full-time employment, with part-time arrangements considered for the right candidate;

direct access to the Principal;

autonomy in managing your own files and clients;

a broad and interesting mix of legal work;

the opportunity to develop across multiple areas of practice;

the opportunity to contribute to the development and growth of the Burwood office; and
