Our client is a well-established national commercial law firm seeking an Associate or Senior Associate to join its Construction team in Brisbane. This is a great opportunity to join a partner-led practice working on high-quality matters across major development and infrastructure projects, construction contracts, and dispute resolution.

In this role, you will work closely with a highly regarded Brisbane Partner known for strong mentorship and technical development, while taking on meaningful responsibility across a diverse mix of front-end and back-end construction matters. You will advise a broad client base including developers, contractors, government bodies, universities, and infrastructure organisations, and be involved in matters spanning contract drafting and negotiation through to disputes and project advisory work.

The team is collaborative, down-to-earth, and supportive, with a strong focus on development and hands-on experience. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded construction lawyer looking to build depth across both transactional and disputes work within a respected national platform.

Key Responsibilities

* Advising on construction contracts, risk allocation, and project delivery frameworks
* Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating construction and infrastructure agreements
* Managing construction disputes, including litigation, mediation, and dispute resolution processes
* Providing clear, commercially focused advice to developers, contractors, and government clients
* Supporting end-to-end delivery of construction and infrastructure matters
* Assisting with legal strategy on complex development and infrastructure projects
* Engaging in contract administration and advisory work across live projects

About You

* Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or equivalent and admitted (or eligible for admission) in Queensland
* 2+ years PAE in construction law, projects, or related property/infrastructure practice
* Experience across front-end and/or back-end construction matters
* Strong drafting, contract interpretation, and advisory skills
* Commercially minded with strong problem-solving ability
* Excellent communication skills with a professional, client-focused approach
* Able to manage competing priorities and work both independently and collaboratively
