Service Manager

All Lift Forklifts & Access Equipment is a successful, family-owned equipment rental and sales business with branches across Australia. Due to continued growth and we are expanding our leadership team and are now seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead our Brisbane service operation.

This is a senior, hands-on leadership role for someone who knows how to build strong teams, run a tight operation, and deliver exceptional service outcomes.

The Role

Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will be responsible for the overall performance of the service department, including fleet availability, workshop and field service operations, customer experience, and commercial outcomes.

Your mission is simple (but not easy): build a high-performing service team, keep the fleet moving, and grow a profitable, well-run service operation.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, develop and manage a team of technicians, service controllers and support staff

Drive service performance, efficiency, utilisation and customer satisfaction

Ensure fleet availability through effective scheduling, maintenance and repair planning

Own service KPIs including productivity, turnaround times, quality, and profitability

Implement and maintain strong processes, systems and controls

Manage costs, labour efficiency and parts usage

Build strong relationships with key customers and internal stakeholders

Ensure safety, compliance and quality standards are always met

Continuously improve the service operation as the business scales

About You

You are a confident, commercially-minded Service Manager who knows how to run a service department properly, not just keep it ticking over.

You will ideally have:

Proven experience leading a service, workshop or fleet maintenance operation

Strong people leadership skills and the ability to build high-performing teams

Solid understanding of service department KPIs, workflow management and cost control

Excellent communication skills.

A strong customer service mindset with a practical, no-nonsense approach

A current driver’s licence

Highly regarded but not essential:

Experience in forklifts, access equipment, heavy vehicles, plant or similar industries

Automotive or mechanical trade qualification

What’s in it for You

Senior leadership role in a growing national business

Real autonomy to shape and improve the operation

Strong support from an experienced leadership team

Competitive salary package: $125,000 – $145,000 + Super +bonus and company vehicle

Stable, long-term opportunity in a business that’s investing heavily in growth
