Who We Are

Adrift was founded in Brisbane in 2012 by Bec Pullar, built on a simple belief: fashion should make women feel confident, comfortable and beautiful. What began as a small boutique has grown into a much loved Australian label, known for its exclusive prints, quality natural fibres and timeless design.

We design in Australia, size from XS to 4XL, and care deeply about the women who wear our clothing and the people who help make it. We are a small, tight-knit team who show up every day genuinely passionate about what we do, and we are looking for someone who feels the same way.

About the role

This role is responsible for the day to day and week to week trade of the Adrift website, with visibility across multiple sales channels. You will own the overall look, feel and curation of the website, the first thing many customers see when they reach us, creating an online showroom our customers want to browse.

This is not a role built around a fixed task list. We are looking for someone who will identify opportunities, bring forward new initiatives and take responsibility for seeing them through. You will work closely with Marketing, Creative, Product and Operations, with the autonomy to make decisions and own the outcomes.

Key responsibilities

Own the trade performance of the Adrift website, delivering against revenue and margin targets

Run a weekly trade cadence, reporting on traffic, conversion, AOV, units per transaction and sell-through, with clear recommendations

Manage onsite merchandising, including product sorting, category and collection curation, search merchandising and promotional placement

Support our Marketing Manager with planned campaigns, executing website merchandising and deploying new themes

Write product descriptions and onsite copy that reflect the Adrift brand and support sales

Own KPIs relating to cart and checkout upsell, and identify ways to improve them

Identify and lead new initiatives, testing and scaling the ones that deliver results

Work closely with our Marketing Manager on initiatives to grow Adrift's visibility, including SEO and broader marketing activity

Maintain a strong working understanding of SEO and general marketing principles to ensure onsite and offsite activity are aligned

Own the Shopify platform end to end, including theme, apps, product data and catalogue structure

Manage Shopify Markets, including currency, pricing and market-scoped settings for our international customers

Support the technical setup and ongoing management of our B2B wholesale channel within Shopify

Keep across new Shopify platform releases and assess which updates are relevant to Adrift

Be a key point of contact for our external partners, including our development agency, SEO agency and platform providers

Maintain product data, sizing and tagging structure to support SEO and merchandising

Manage and merchandise product listings and promotional activity across marketplaces, including David Jones and Myer.

Work with our wholesale team to ensure consistency of product, pricing and imagery across wholesale partners

Identify opportunities to increase conversion, basket size and cross-sell across all channels

Lead ongoing optimisation of CRO, onsite search, navigation and user experience

Build and maintain reporting that provides clear visibility of ecommerce performance

Monitor customer behaviour, competitor activity and market trends, translating insights into action

Collaborate with Marketing, Creative, Product, Operations and external partners to ensure consistent execution

About you

Strong Shopify experience; hands on experience trading a Shopify store is highly regarded, including working with apps, themes and product data at an admin level

Commercially minded, with a clear understanding of how ecommerce drives revenue and margin

Basic coding experience

Experience trading a website, ideally with some exposure to wholesale, retail or marketplace channels

Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively

Comfortable working with data, and confident turning KPIs into decisions

Experience with Klaviyo or a similar email/CRM platform, and an understanding of how to read flow and campaign performance

Comfortable working in GA4, with some exposure to Google Ads reporting

Exposure to Shopify Markets or managing an international/multi-currency storefront is a plus

A strong understanding of ecommerce merchandising

Strong copywriting skills, with the ability to write product and onsite content that reflects a brand voice

A solid understanding of SEO and how it fits within a broader marketing strategy

Proactive, with the ability to identify opportunities and bring new ideas forward

Hands on and comfortable working across both strategic and operational detail

A confident communicator and collaborator

Fashion or retail experience highly desirable

A genuine focus on customer experience across all channels

Comfortable operating in a fast growing business

Benefits

A collaborative team who you can bounce your ideas off
