This is an opportunity to work directly with the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Leadership Team to influence major commercial decisions, lead complex negotiations, unlock strategic opportunities and help shape the future of some of the organisations most significant assets.
As the Senior Commercial Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in progressing commercial projects that drive long-term community, economic and organisational outcomes. You'll be entrusted with leading high-profile negotiations, developing commercial strategies, managing market engagement processes and providing expert advice on opportunities that will help maximise the value and sustainability of key community assets.
The Opportunity
Operating with a high degree of autonomy, you will be responsible for progressing complex commercial initiatives, navigating stakeholder environments and delivering outcomes with long-term strategic, financial and community significance. This is a role for someone who enjoys taking ownership, influencing decision-makers and turning opportunities into results.
Working closely with senior leaders, you will have the opportunity to:
- Lead complex commercial negotiations and strategic partnerships.
- Deliver high-profile commercial projects from concept through to implementation.
- Influence future land use and development outcomes.
- Identify and unlock opportunities to optimise commercial performance across key assets.
- Manage Expressions of Interest (EOI) and market engagement processes.
- Provide commercially sound recommendations to support executive decision-making.
- Shape and strengthen the organisations commercial framework and future approach to commercial opportunities.
About You
We are seeking a commercially minded professional who thrives on creating outcomes, influencing stakeholders and progressing strategic initiatives.
You may come from local government, property, infrastructure, development, commercial advisory, business development, partnerships, asset management or a related commercial environment. What matters most is your ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments, negotiate effectively and drive commercially sound outcomes.
To be successful, you will bring:
- Demonstrated experience leading commercial negotiations, contracts, partnerships or strategic agreements.
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to assess opportunities, risks and outcomes.
- Experience managing end-to-end commercial processes, market engagement activities or procurement-style programs.
- The ability to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Strong written communication skills with experience preparing recommendations, business cases or reports for executive audiences.
- The confidence to operate autonomously, take ownership and progress multiple priorities simultaneously.
