We are keen to connect with Emergency Medicine Registrars interested in joining a tertiary referral Emergency Department in the Northern Territory. This position offers exposure to a broad and diverse case mix within a busy department caring for patients across metropolitan, regional and remote communities.

Working within a supportive multidisciplinary team, you will manage undifferentiated presentations ranging from common emergency conditions to major trauma, complex medical emergencies and retrieval related cases. Registrars are well supported by experienced Emergency Physicians and senior clinicians, with opportunities to further develop clinical decision-making, procedural skills and leadership within the Emergency Department.

The Hospital

This is a tertiary referral teaching hospital providing specialist services to the Northern Territory and surrounding regions.

Major referral centre managing complex emergency presentations.

Strong links with medical education and specialist training.

Broad multidisciplinary services supporting high-acuity patient care.

Diverse patient population with exposure to tropical medicine, Aboriginal health and remote healthcare presentations.

Training & Development

Training is a key focus of this position, providing Registrars with excellent opportunities to progress their Emergency Medicine careers.

Direct supervision and support from FACEM consultants.

Exposure to high-acuity emergency medicine and varied clinical presentations.

Opportunities to develop procedural and resuscitation skills.

Regular departmental education, bedside teaching and multidisciplinary learning.

Participation in quality improvement, audit and departmental education activities where available.

Eligible for registration with AHPRA.
