Clerk Grade: 7/8 $116,981 - $129,492 plus super
Temporary (up to 18 months), Fulltime
Location - Bathurst, working available with 2 days per week required in office

The Government Shared Services (GSS) Division within the Department of Customer Service delivers critical corporate and technology services that support NSW Government agencies and enable better outcomes for the people of NSW.

About the role

The Data Centre Coordinator is responsible for the operational and governance management of the physical environment, including access management, space and power allocation, and environmental control management, for the Bathurst Data Centre.

Key Responsibilities:

*Develops and maintains the standards, processes and documentation for the data centre and optimises efficiency in the population of data centre space
*Ensures adherence to all relevant policies and processes and conducts routine audits and checks.
*Uses data centre management tools to plan, record and manage the types of infrastructure installed and the associated power, space and cooling capabilities, usage and actions to meet corporate sustainability targets and ensure compliance with SOPs and WHS requirements.
*Identifies operational problems and contributes to their resolution to support the service level requirements of Spatial Services
*Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including system owners and DCS and third-party maintainers, to support the service level requirements of Spatial Services

To the key challenges to be successful in this role:

*Maintaining current knowledge of the Data Centre ICT infrastructure in an environment which is subject to rapid change and development
*Delivering quality services and negotiating workable timeframes, given competing demands and priorities, the need to address unforeseen issues, the high volume of work and the need to work independently
