The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a licensed and experienced Reach Stacker Operator for the team at Forrestfield, initially for a three-to-six-month period.

12-hour shifts - Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday - 48-hour week (working hours 5.30 am to 5.30 pm)

About the Role:

Safely and efficiently operating heavy lifting reach stackers.

Inspecting incoming and outgoing trains and trucks to ensure secure loading.

Communicating effectively via two-way radio with transport coordinators and supervisors.

Loading and unloading freight in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner.

Conducting pre-start vehicle checks to maintain safety and compliance with lifting equipment guidelines.

Complying with safety, fatigue, and heavy equipment guidelines

As a Reach Stacker driver, you will be responsible for the loading and unloading containers, upholding safety metrics to ensure containers are stacked safely and hazards are minimised across the site.

Your Skills and Experience

Maintaining a culture of inclusivity and communication within our team is crucial. The successful applicant should be a team player, also comfortable working autonomously. Additionally, have the necessary experience, hold current licenses, and be willing to contribute across the site when needed.

As the successful applicant, you will possess the following:-

High-risk license (HR)

Reach stacker license (RS)

Previous experience using a 90-ton Reach Stacker

Previous experience with container movement and stacking five high

Loader, water cart, or excavator licences would be an advantage but not a necessity

A commitment to safety standards

High attention to detail

Ability to work autonomously

Short-term position to commence immediately.
