Workfast is currently looking for a Forklift Operator to join our Waste Management team located in Townsville, QLD

We are currently working on behalf of a well-recognised and reputable Waste Management company that operates nationally. Due to ongoing growth, we are seeking experienced Forklift Operator for long-term work in Townsville, QLD

Job Responsibilities

• Operating Forklift to load and upload trucks
• Early morning starts between 5:00am - 6:00am
• Conduct daily pre-start checks and report any defects
• Collect and transport recyclable materials efficiently
• Comply with all safety, fatigue management, and road regulations
• Maintain professional communication with clients and internal teams
• Some manual handling required when servicing tighter access locations

Requirements

• Valid Forklift Licence (minimum)
• 2 years' experience as a Forklift Operator
• Previous experience within the waste management industry (preferred)
• Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, if required
• Own reliable transport
