About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a newly created opportunity with a well-established, market-leading food manufacturing business based in Laverton North.

This is not a traditional warehouse storeperson role. We are looking for someone who understands maintenance, machinery, mechanical components or spare parts and is looking to bring that practical knowledge into a warehouse and parts environment.

The role could be a great fit for someone currently working on the tools as a fitter, diesel technician, maintenance technician, mechanical tradesperson, service technician or similar, who is looking to transition into a less hands-on position while still using their technical knowledge.

Equally, we would consider experienced spare parts, maintenance stores or industrial parts operators who understand how to identify, source and manage the components required to keep machinery operating.

What's on Offer

$49.91 per hour + Super

Monday to Friday - 7:00am – 3:00pm or 8:00am – 4:00pm

Optional ad-hoc overtime available (weekdays/weekends)

Weekly pay cycle

Long-term, stable position with career progression opportunities

Opportunity to work within a large-scale FMCG manufacturing environment

About the Role

This is a standalone autonomous position responsible for managing a dedicated maintenance stores area within a larger site.

You will manage approximately 1,900 SKUs of maintenance and spare parts, ensuring the site's maintenance team has the right components available when required.

While the role involves warehouse activities such as picking, stock control and dispatch, technical understanding is a key part of the position. You'll need to be comfortable identifying components, understanding what parts are used for and communicating with maintenance personnel and suppliers.

You will also take ownership of purchasing, inventory accuracy and supplier coordination, making this an excellent opportunity for someone wanting to move from the tools into a more structured stores, parts or supply-chain environment.

We are particularly interested in candidates with backgrounds such as: Maintenance Technician, Fitter / Mechanical Fitter, Maintenance Tradesperson, Service Technician, Mechanical Technician Spare Parts Interpreter, Maintenance Storeperson, Technical Storeperson

You may be looking to transition off the tools into a warehouse, stores, parts or procurement environment while still using the technical knowledge you've developed throughout your career.

Comfortable working autonomously
