Are you technically skilled, service-oriented, and ready for a new challenge in a global company known for innovative lifting solutions? PALFINGER Marine is looking for a Field Service Technician to join our team in Australia, Perth, under the local entity, Palfinger Marine Australia Pty.
You'll play a key role in maintaining, overhaul, disassemble, and assemble cranes, winches, and davit systems in the shipyard and anchorage.
Key responsibilities
Deliver advanced service solutions to PALFINGER MARINE equipment including commissioning, inspection, maintenance, refurbishment, upgrades and complex repairs across mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems
Overhaul, disassemble, and assemble cranes, winches, and davit systems, while supporting other PALFINGER MARINE product lines
Perform specialized technical work with a high degree of autonomy and independent judgement in troubleshooting, fault diagnosis and system optimizations in marine or offshore environments
Liaise with internal stakeholders, shipyards and offshore personnel to ensure service activities are executed in accordance with organizational policies, safety standards and local procedures
Prepare and validate service reports and provide technical feedback to Service Management and Engineering for continuous improvement
Ensure all work complies with PALFINGER standards, HSE requirements and applicable regulations
Generate and prepare service reports, claims, overtime and overseas allowance
Report on comments and feedback from customers to Service Coordinator and Manager
Attend training and ensure that the technical skills and product knowledge are kept up to date
About you
National Advanced Diploma or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Hydraulic, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline
Hands-on service experience with lifting equipment
Familiarity with SOLAS requirements and marine industry regulations will be advantageous
Experience in lifting and heavy machinery will be advantageous
Willingness to travel and work in shipyard or anchorage.
Able to work remotely / from home
