The Role
Join the Town of Port Hedland as Children and Facilities Supervisor and watch your career take off!
This role is all about bringing energy, connection, and creativity to life at the JD Hardie Youth and Community Hub. You'll lead the day-to-day operations of the facility, guiding and supporting the Children and Facilities team while continuously finding smarter, better ways of working to keep things running smoothly behind the scenes.
From managing budgets, bookings, and contracts to overseeing venue hire and administrative processes, you'll keep the Hub ticking while ensuring everything is organised, efficient, and future focused. Along the way, you'll champion outstanding customer service, making sure every visitor-from community members to internal stakeholders-feels welcome, supported, and valued.
A big part of the role is about creating vibrant experiences for young people and the wider community. You'll design and deliver fun, engaging children's programs and events, build meaningful partnerships, and secure funding that helps bring new ideas to life across the Hub and beyond.
You'll also play a key role in shaping the future of children's services by leading the development, implementation, and ongoing review of Children Service Plans aligned with the Youth Development Plan 2022-2025-ensuring everything you deliver is impactful, relevant, and makes a real difference in the community.

Work Related Requirements
The preferred applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol assessment to be considered for the role, as well as possess:
- National Police Clearance
- Current 'C' class drivers license
- Rights to work in Australia
- Current Senior First Aid Certificate (or willing to obtain)
- Working with Children Card (or willing to obtain)
