Are you an experienced Paralegal looking to join a high-performing national legal team where you'll have the opportunity to manage your own files and work on high-volume litigation and recoveries matters?
An exciting opportunity has become available for a motivated Paralegal to join the Perth office of a well-established national legal services provider. Working within the Restructuring, Recoveries & Disputes team, you'll play a key role in managing files from commencement through to resolution while working alongside experienced lawyers in a collaborative and supportive environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced practice, enjoys taking ownership of their work, and is looking to further develop their career within litigation and recoveries.
The Role |
You will be responsible for providing high-quality paralegal support, including:
- Drafting notices, demands, pleadings and general legal correspondence
- Preparing Statements of Claim, Judgments, Writs of Possession and other court documents
- E-filing documents across various court jurisdictions
- Managing a high-volume file load while ensuring service level requirements are achieved
- Liaising with clients, debtors and third parties via phone and email to progress matters
- Negotiating payment proposals and obtaining client instructions
- Coordinating security packets, process servers, settlements and discharge of mortgages
- Preparing files for eviction proceedings where required
- Identifying complex or high-risk matters and escalating them to Lawyers
- Maintaining accurate file management and completing general administrative duties
About You |
- Previous experience as a Paralegal, ideally within Litigation, Recoveries, Insolvency or Disputes
- Demonstrated ability to manage your own files with minimal supervision
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a high-volume workload
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- A proactive, team-oriented approach with a willingness to support colleagues
- Confident using legal practice management systems and Microsoft Office
