We’re looking for a Bitumen & Asphalt Supervisor to lead the delivery of our annual reseal, asphalt overlay and minor pavement rehabilitation programs across the region!
About the Role:
You’ll lead the delivery of Council’s annual reseal, asphalt overlay and pavement rehabilitation programs, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, on time and within budget. Working closely with construction teams, contractors and stakeholders, you'll coordinate bitumen and asphalt works across multiple projects, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and identify innovative solutions that enhance performance, productivity and quality outcomes for the Cairns community.

What We’re Looking For:
Current Queensland Driver Licence (Class C)
Substantial experience supervising road and drainage construction projects
Demonstrated expertise in bitumen sealing, asphalt works and pavement rehabilitation
Proven ability to successfully deliver projects on time, within budget and to a high standard
Strong leadership, people management and team development skills
Excellent organisational and project coordination abilities
Experience managing contractors and subcontractors
Sound computer skills, including Microsoft Office and operational business systems
