Proudly South Australian Manufacturer • North Plympton • Full-Time
About Heatlie
At Heatlie, we’ve spent decades manufacturing premium sheet-metal products right here in South Australia. From commercial kitchens to outdoor venues, our equipment is trusted by professionals who demand performance without compromise. We build locally because quality matters — and so do the people behind it.
As a family-owned business, we take pride in our team as much as our products. We’re looking for a capable and practical Assembly Worker to join us — someone who can hit the ground running, keep production moving, and help bring out the best in those around them.
Why Join Us?
• Proudly South Australian — work with a family business that values integrity, craftsmanship, and community
• Supportive team culture where real people care about what they do and look out for each other
• Variety every day — a diverse range of tasks across assembly, production, and fulfilment
• Be part of a growing business where your initiative and ideas are genuinely valued
The Role
This is a hands-on, full-time position (5 days per week) based at our North Plympton facility. You’ll work across a variety of manufacturing and assembly tasks, drawing on your experience to get jobs done to a high standard. In addition to attending to your own workload, you’ll provide guidance and direction to 2–3 co-workers, helping to set them up for success on the floor.
No two days are exactly alike — you’ll need to be adaptable, practical, and ready to problem-solve when things don’t go to plan.
What You’ll Do
• Assemble products or components to specification, working from drawings or instructions
• Pick and pack customer orders accurately and efficiently
• Cut materials to size and specification for production orders
• Set up workstations and prepare tasks for co-workers to ensure smooth workflow
• Oversee and provide day-to-day guidance to 2–3 team members as part of your role
• Identify and resolve practical problems on the floor to keep production on track
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised work environment at all times
What We’re Looking For
• Solid experience in general manufacturing processes (assembly, production, or similar environments)
• Proven ability to oversee and guide co-workers while managing your own workload
• Practical, hands-on approach with strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to read and work from specifications, drawings, or work orders
• Good communication skills — you’ll coordinate with team members and supervisors daily
• A positive attitude, strong attention to detail, and a pride in doing things properly
• Physically capable of performing hands-on tasks in a manufacturing environment
