About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Forklift Operator to join our team in Portsmith, Cairns (QLD). This is a full-time, permanent position, ideal for someone with experience in the transport and logistics industry who values safety, teamwork, and efficiency in a fast-paced freight environment.
Permanent full-time role with stable hours (Monday to Friday – 8:00am starts)

What You'll Do
Safely load and unload general freight vehicles using a forklift.
Sort, scan, and stage freight for local, regional, and interstate movements.
Ensure freight is handled safely and securely to prevent damage.
Verify freight documentation and assist with freight checks as required.
Support vehicle loading activities and maintain load integrity.
Report any freight discrepancies, damage, or equipment issues promptly.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised operational area.
Work closely with drivers and operations staff to ensure freight movements run smoothly.
What You'll Bring
Current Forklift Licence (essential).
Previous experience in the transport, freight, or logistics industry.
Experience handling palletised and general freight.
Strong commitment to workplace health and safety practices.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced operational environment.
Reliable work ethic with a positive, team-oriented attitude.
Good communication skills and attention to detail.
