About the role

Hua Nan Commercial Bank in Sydney CBD seeks a motivated person to join us as a Banking Assistant. You will be responsible for processing the Branch's daily operations and relevant financial information, including transaction processing, settlement and administration of related products and services.

Key responsibilities

Process the Branch's daily operations and relevant financial information, including transaction processing, settlement and administration of related products and services

Administer and monitor the Branch's wire and funds transfer systems, ensuring timely processing, accuracy, and appropriate follow-up of transactions

Monitor transaction activities and transfer status, identifying, escalating, and assisting with the resolution of any suspicious or potentially fraudulent matters in accordance with internal procedures

Establish and maintain accurate fiscal, accounting, and operational records of the Branch

Ensure the Branch's operations are conducted in accordance with relevant internal policies and regulatory requirements, including AML/CTF Policy and Reporting Manual

Provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to the Branch

Conduct general affairs activities, including ordering and maintenance of office supplies, equipment and housekeeping items, and general premises matters, including liaising with tradespersons and building management

Meet daily targets and deadlines, learn quickly, adapt to change, and work effectively under pressure

About you

Degree in Commerce, Finance, Business, or Accounting

Australian Citizen, PR, or New Zealand Citizen

Effective communication skills – written and verbal

Intermediate to advanced MS Word and Excel skills

Strong attention to detail

Proactive attitude

Experience in banking or financial institution is preferred

Ability to speak and write Mandarin would be an advantage

Work Location & Schedule:

100% On-site Role: Based in our CBD office, conveniently located near Wynyard Station.

No WFH: Please note that Work From Home (WFH) or hybrid arrangements are not available for this position.
