About The Role:
Location: Broadmeadows (with travel to Craigieburn, Docklands, Sunbury if required)

Role Type: Sessional
Remuneration: starting at $ 91.42 per hour (depending on qualifications)
Are you a dedicated educator with a passion for supporting migrant learners on their vocational journey?
We're looking for a Sessional English Teacher who is deeply passionate about helping migrant learners build confidence, improve their English, and create better futures. In this role, you'll go beyond teaching—you'll play a vital part in supporting students to settle, connect, and thrive in their new community.
You'll join a warm, collaborative team of passionate educators who care deeply about student success. With strong mentoring and ongoing support from experienced line managers, you'll feel empowered to bring your best to the classroom and make a meaningful difference every day.
What you'll do:
- Deliver engaging, culturally responsive EAL lessons tailored to diverse learner needs
- Create a safe, inclusive classroom where every student feels valued and supported
- Track and support student progress to help them achieve language and settlement goals
- Collaborate with like-minded educators to share ideas and best practice
- Maintain high-quality teaching, assessment, and compliance standards

We're looking for someone who:
- Is passionate about helping newly arrived migrants succeed
- Brings empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to student outcomes
- Is collaborative, reliable, and proactive
- Values diversity and respects all cultures and backgrounds
- Has strong organisation and digital literacy skills
- Must have: Undergraduate degree (or higher) in any discipline and a TESOL qualification, typically one of the following:
Graduate Certificate in TESOL (most common minimum)
Graduate Diploma in TESOL
Master of TESOL / Applied Linguistics - Current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
The Essential Paperwork; Working with Children Clearance (WWCC), Current police check, Certified right to work documentation, Certified copies of your qualifications and transcripts
