About the role

This is a full-spectrum commercial contract management and regional legal compliance role covering Singapore, Southeast Asia, Middle East, Turkey and Egypt. You will independently draft, negotiate, review and revise cross-border legal documents, establish regional legal compliance policies, manage external law firms, and oversee corporate governance and regulatory matters across multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

Independently draft, negotiate, review and revise all cross-border legal documents: vendor cooperation agreements, shipper/driver platform service terms, distribution & partnership MOU, NDAs, marketing cooperation, data licensing and inter-group cross-border agreements

Build, standardize and continuously update regional contract template library, streamline contract review & approval SOP to improve business efficiency and control legal risks

Monitor and interpret local laws & regulatory updates across Singapore, Southeast Asia, Middle East, Turkey and Egypt; output actionable compliance guidelines for operation, algorithm and product teams

Lead compliance risk assessment for new market entry, new product function launch, cross-border data transmission, platform user rules and local transport regulatory requirements

Oversee Singapore corporate statutory compliance: ACRA annual filing, company secretarial matters, local employment law compliance, data protection & PDPA obligations

Establish complete regional legal compliance policies, internal control workflows and risk early warning mechanism aligned with both local common law regimes and Group SOX compliance requirements for US-listed entity

Conduct regular compliance training for cross-functional teams, identify hidden legal risks in daily operations and design mitigation solutions

Select, manage and coordinate external local law firms across all operating countries; allocate legal budgets and supervise external counsel deliverables

Support resolution of cross-border commercial disputes, cargo & user claims, driver/shipper complaints, labor disputes and potential arbitration/litigation matters

Support overseas subsidiary setup, corporate structure adjustment, business license & transport permit application for new markets

About you

Bachelor of Laws / Juris Doctor (LLB/JD) from recognized university; admission to Singapore Bar, China Bar or other common law jurisdiction bar is mandatory

Minimum 4 years post-qualification legal experience, at least 2 years in-house managerial or regional cross-border legal role

Digital platform, cross-border logistics, transport or e-commerce industry background is highly preferred

Solid understanding of Singapore corporate law, PDPA data protection, employment law, cross-border commercial law and multi-jurisdiction regulatory compliance (Southeast Asia / Middle East a strong plus)

Proven experience drafting complex bilingual commercial contracts, conducting cross-border legal due diligence and managing external law firms across multiple countries

Familiar with SOX internal compliance requirements for US-listed companies is an advantage

Fluent written & spoken English as primary working language; conversational Mandarin to align with China Group HQ is a big plus

Strong business acumen, sharp risk sensitivity, independent problem-solving ability and excellent cross-cultural stakeholder communication skills

Able to handle multi-task tight deadlines, self-motivated, detail-oriented and comfortable building legal workflows from zero to one in fast-growing global startup environment
