About the Company
Our client is an Australian success story, manufacturing and distributing some of the most in demand construction products in the market. With organic growth and an acquisitive roadmap, they are now at market for a newly created Project Procurement Specialist to drive the division to greater efficiencies.
About the Role
Key Responsibilities: Newly created fixed term role with endless scope.
Conduct and manage the end-to-end procurement process for project related sub-contractor services.
Identify, evaluate and transparently communicate risk, ensuring risk mitigations are developed and articulated in procurement strategies and plans.
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure their input into project procurement strategies, plans and sourcing activities.
Prepare and issue Requests for Quotation (RFQs) and Requests for Tender (RFTs), evaluation documentation, recommendation reports and other procurement related documentation.
Build and support sub-contractor relationships in conjunction with the construction teams and provide a point of escalation for issues resolution.
Lead commercial negotiations with sub-contractors to achieve favourable commercial and contractual outcomes.
Meet or exceed cost saving targets and identified procurement objectives.
Foster positive and productive working relationships across the business ensuring a strong project and operational focus.
About You:
3+ years of procurement or supply chain experience, ideally in warehousing, distribution, or multi-business-unit environments.
Strong understanding of inbound freight management, transportation planning, and vendor performance.
Demonstrated experience with demand planning, forecasting, and inventory management.
Proficiency in ERP/MRP/WMS systems and advanced Excel or planning tools.
Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple stakeholders and business units.
