Heavy Diesel Mechanic

$65.95 per hour plus penalties

Two-week casual assignment with immediate start

Monday to Friday (Potential Saturday work – not guaranteed)

WorkPac are seeking a HD Mechanic, ASAP start 2 weeks work in Darwin, $65.95 per hour, plus penalties.

About Our Client

Originated in 1938, our client is a construction equipment supplier providing equipment sales and hire, parts and services, cranes, heavy lifting and & specialised transport, and engineering solutions.

What You Will Be Doing

Conduct scheduled servicing and preventive maintenance on all-terrain cranes, trucks and trailers.

Diagnose faults and carry out mechanical and hydraulic repairs.

Respond to equipment breakdowns both in the yard and on-site.

Complete service reports and maintenance documentation accurately.

Assist with general workshop and yard duties.

Travel to customer sites as required.

What You Will Need

Trade qualified as a Heavy Duty Mechanic, Diesel Fitter, or equivalent.

Strong experience in heavy mechanical and hydraulic systems with strong diagnostic skills.

Previous experience in mining, heavy haulage, equipment hire, or similar industry.

Current Driver’s Licence (HR preferred)

Licence to Perform High Risk Work – Forklift (LF) (Dogman/Rigger are highly desirable)
