Excavator Operators – Demolition & Civil

Location: Port Botany, NSW
Duration: 6 months, with potential for ongoing work for the right operators
Excavator sizes: 5T–40T

We are looking for experienced Excavator Operators with strong demolition, civil or waste management backgrounds to join a major site clean-up project at Port Botany.

This role will suit operators who are confident working through demolition waste piles, sorting materials and pushing site clean-up forward. If you come from the waste management or recycling industry, your experience will be highly regarded.

What we're looking for

Proven experience operating excavators from 5T to 40T

Strong demolition or civil experience

Waste management, recycling or material-sorting experience highly regarded

Experienced working through and sorting demolition waste piles

Sieve bucket experience

Fixed and rotating grapple experience – essential

Ability to safely sort, separate and handle different waste streams and materials

Strong understanding of site safety and safe operating practices

Reliable, productive and able to work as part of a site team

Operators who take pride in keeping a site moving and getting the clean-up done efficiently

The role

You will be working on a large-scale clean-up project, operating excavators to sort demolition waste, separate materials, load and move waste, and progressively clean up the site.

We are looking for operators who can jump on the machine and get stuck into the work — not just move material, but actively contribute to keeping the site organised, productive and progressing.

Fixed and rotating grapple experience is essential, along with the ability to work with sieve buckets.
