A fantastic opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist seeking a flexible, well-supported telehealth role within veteran health, offering structured clinical evaluations and assessments.
My client is a highly specialised service supporting Australian Defence personnel and veterans through structured psychiatric assessments, diagnosis, and evidence-based reporting within a multidisciplinary care model.
All cases are assessed within clear clinical frameworks, with full administrative support and clinical templates provided.
Remuneration is $700 per hour
Consultation Types
MBS 296 – Initial Assessment & Treatment Planning
45-minute consultation
Review of psychology reports, assessments, and laboratory results
Development of treatment plan and prescribing as required
Total time: Approx 1hr
Comprehensive Clinical Evaluation & Diagnostic Report
45-minute consultation
Detailed clinical assessment for Australian Defence personnel
Review of psychology reports, assessment data, and collateral information
Comprehensive report outlining clinical findings, diagnostic formulation, management plan, and treatment recommendations
Report provided to referring organisations with clear clinical conclusions
Total time: Approx. 1.5hrs (consultation and report writing)
MBS 302 – Treatment / Medication Review
15-minute consultation
Review and adjustment of treatment plan and/or medication as required
Total time: Approx. 15 minutes

About You
Consultant Psychiatrist with Specialist AHPRA registration (no restrictions or conditions)
Confident conducting telehealth consultations
Strong clinical reasoning and report writing skills
Experience in medico-legal, ADHD, or veteran health highly regarded but not essential
