The Opportunity
This is an opportunity to take ownership of a defined commercial package on a major high-rise development in Sydney.

You will join a well-resourced commercial team and take direct responsibility for your package from subcontract award through to final account, working alongside an experienced Commercial Manager rather than being left to figure things out.

Reporting directly to the Commercial Manager, you will have accountability for the commercial performance of your trade packages, including claims, variations, cost reporting and subcontractor management.

The position offers genuine ownership and autonomy, supported by an experienced senior team and an established builder with a strong pipeline of high-density residential and mixed-use projects across Sydney.

The Project
The development is a large-scale high-rise building incorporating a substantial residential component and associated commercial space, with a total contract value exceeding $200 million.

It is a high-profile project requiring strong commercial discipline across procurement, subcontract administration, cost control and stakeholder management.

As Senior Contracts Administrator, you will play a central role in managing the commercial performance of your packages and protecting the project's financial position throughout delivery.

Key Responsibilities
Manage subcontract administration for an allocated package of trades

Prepare and assess progress claims, variations and extensions of time

Draft, negotiate and administer subcontract agreements

Monitor budgets, cash flow, cost reporting and forecasting using Jobpac

Support procurement and ensure trade packages are awarded in line with program

Liaise with the Commercial Manager, Project Director and site team on commercial matters

Identify and manage commercial and contractual risk across your packages

Oversee subcontractor performance and maintain accountability

Contribute to final account close-out and project commercial reporting

Essential Experience

Extensive residential construction experience

A proven track record managing subcontract packages on major projects

Strong understanding of contract administration, claims and variations

Demonstrated commercial and cost management capabilities

Experience managing subcontractors, consultants and internal project teams

Preferred Experience

A background working with a comparable Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractor

Experience delivering large-scale high-rise or mixed-use developments

Jobpac experience highly regarded
