About the role
Reporting directly to the General Manager, with dotted line reporting to the Regional Director of Human Resources, this role will execute strategies that serve to attract, retain, and develop talent. Also ensure compliance with applicable regulations and Standard Operating Procedures.
Duty & Responsibilities
Your duties will include:
Develop, review and communicate company policies, procedures and systems to ensure appropriate standards and practices are encourage, enforced and monitored.
Maintain understanding of current HR practices and ensure compliance with all national and state employee legislation to minimise litigation issues.
Provide accurate Award and relevant legislative interpretation and advice to management and employees.
Manage and advise on all employee complaints and performance issues to ensure procedural fairness.
Monitor human resource requirements through analysis of staff turnover, exit interviews, employee surveys, etc and provide recommendations to Planning Committee.
Manage recruitment and retention activities.
Facilitate in-house training program, including orientation.
Representative on Planning Committee
Monitor the adherence by staff to all hotel policies and procedures.
Carry out any other related duties as directed by the General Manager or Cluster Director of Human Resources
Skills & Experience
Your skills and experience will include:
Formal qualification in Hospitality, Hotel Management or a related field
Minimum 3 years of Human Resources experience in a similar role.
Previous experience in a hospitality/hotel environment preferred but not essential.
Sound knowledge of current workplace relations and employment legislation.
Demonstrated experience in recruitment and selection for senior positions and management of recruitment systems.
Excellent personal presentation with a positive approach.
Ability to assess situations and make fair decisions.
