Clerk Grade 3/4 with a salary range of $87,199 - $95,482 plus shift allowances, superannuation and leave loading.
Roles based across NSW including: Hunter/Central Coast, Sydney Metro, Illawarra/Shoalhaven, Northern Rivers, Mid North Coast, NorthWest/Central West, Southern Tablelands/Riverina
This recruitment process is being conducted to establish a talent pool for future temporary and ongoing part time and full time Steward roles that may arise across NSW over the next 18 months.
About the role
Greyhound Welfare & Integrity Commission is seeking motivated and professional individuals to join our Steward team. As a Steward, you'll be part of a frontline regulatory team responsible for monitoring compliance, gathering information, supporting investigations and helping ensure race meetings are conducted safely, fairly and in accordance with regulatory requirements.
This is a hands on role offering a unique mix of field work, stakeholder engagement and operational compliance activities.
In this role, you will:
Support compliance and integrity activities in a highly regulated environment.
Monitor operational activities and identify potential issues or breaches.
Gather and record information, maintain accurate records and prepare reports.
Work closely with industry participants, veterinarians and other regulatory staff.
Travel throughout NSW and work rostered hours, including evenings and weekends.
About You
You're someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, being out in the field, and playing a practical role in ensuring racing is conducted fairly and safely.
You have strong attention to detail, good judgement, and the confidence to engage with a wide range of people in a professional and respectful manner. You can remain composed under pressure, follow procedures accurately, and are comfortable making observations, documenting information, and reporting issues when required.
