Software Engineer - Brisbane (Healthcare Simulation Technology)

Overview

Our client is a Brisbane-based technology company developing simulation and training solutions for the healthcare sector. Their products are used across hospitals, ambulance services, nursing education, and other healthcare environments. The platform combines software, AI, audio/visual technologies, and physical simulation devices to create realistic training experiences.

They are looking for a mid-level Software Engineer who can contribute across a variety of products and services, helping to build, deploy, and support production-ready applications used by real customers.

Location & Working Arrangement

Brisbane-based role

Office located in the Stones Corner area

Flexible hybrid working arrangement (approximately 2-3 days per week in the office)

Salary

Target salary range: $120,000 - $130,000 + super

Key Technologies

Any backend technology is accepted. Python, GoLang, PHP, Ruby etc.

Ideal Candidate

We are seeking someone who:

Has solid commercial software engineering experience, but is not overly senior

Has been building software since before the rise of AI-assisted coding and understands core software engineering principles

Actively embraces modern AI tools to improve productivity and outcomes

Has worked across multiple applications, products and servicesrather than a single long-term project

Demonstrates curiosity and versatility across different technologies and domains

Can work independently while still taking direction when required

Has experience solving real-world technical and product challenges

Desired Experience

Developing and maintaining production applications

Successfully delivering software used by end users in live environments

Building, deploying and supporting customer-facing systems

Exposure to a variety of architectures, platforms and services

Experience integrating software with hardware or external devices is highly regarded

Interest or experience in AI, conversational interfaces, audio/visual technologies, and simulation environments would be advantageous
