Mechanical Fitters – Marine, Defence & Industrial

We are currently seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters for upcoming opportunities across Marine, Defence and Industrial projects.

These positions may be based within the Marine or Industrial divisions, or may involve working across both areas depending on project requirements. We are looking for skilled tradespeople who can hit the ground running, work safely and productively, and are comfortable working as part of a professional project team.

The Role

• Monday to Friday day shift
• 6:30am start
• Overtime available
• Weekend work as required
• Opportunities across Marine, Defence and Industrial projects
• Potential for shared resources between Marine and Industrial projects

About You

You will be an experienced Mechanical Fitter with a strong mechanical background and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Marine-based positions will suit candidates with experience in areas such as:

• Shafts and shaft alignment
• Gearboxes
• Mechanical realignment
• Mechanical installation and maintenance
• Fault finding and repairs
• Marine or shipyard environments

Industrial Mechanical Fitters with strong general mechanical fitting experience are also encouraged to apply.

Tickets & Requirements

The following tickets and experience are required or highly regarded:

• Mechanical Fitting trade qualification and relevant experience
• White Card
• Working at Heights
• Confined Space
• Fire Sentry – preferred, but not essential
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
• Ability to complete required online and client-specific inductions prior to commencing

There may be multiple client inductions required, particularly for candidates working within the Marine division. All required inductions must be successfully completed prior to commencement so the necessary site access passes can be obtained.
