Job Summary
1. Responsible for providing quality physiotherapy treatment as an effective member of the rehabilitation team.
2. Supports and contributes to the development of the department.
Principal Accountabilities
1. Clinical Duties
1.1 To provide physiotherapy treatment for inpatients.
1.2 To participate in Patient Care Conference with other team members.
1.3 To supervise therapy assistants (TAs) and volunteers helping in relevant areas.
1.4 To maintain good communication with all members of rehabilitation team.
2. Education and Training
2.1 To keep abreast with advances in the profession and to contribute to the development of the department.
2.2 To be involved in training of the TAs and care-givers.
2.3 To be involved in in-service education of other healthcare providers in aspects related to physiotherapy.
2.4 To participate in research projects.
3. Administrative Duties
3.1 To cover the duties of the other Physiotherapists in the team.
3.2 To cover the duties of the Senior Manager, Inpatient Therapy Services, as and when assigned.
4. Other Duties
4.1 To participate in projects within own department or in inter-departmental committees/ Quality Control Circles.
4.2 To apply for subsidy of walking aids for inpatients.
4.3 To update patients and their family members of therapy progress and goals
