About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance Manager to join a rapidly growing, multi-site consumer goods business. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will take ownership of financial control and reporting across the corporate portfolio while managing two accountants. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys getting into the detail while also working closely with senior finance and operational stakeholders.

A key focus will be building the financial foundations required to support continued growth, including improving month-end, establishing robust balance sheet reconciliations, strengthening financial controls and developing scalable reporting processes.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end close and financial reporting across the corporate portfolio
• Build and maintain robust balance sheet reconciliations
• Review store P&Ls, revenue, labour, COGS and EBITDA performance
• Prepare monthly Board and management reporting
• Deliver budget vs actual analysis and performance insights
• Oversee supplier payments, payroll accounting and cash controls
• Manage BAS, payroll tax and statutory compliance
• Lead external audit preparation and manage audit queries
• Manage and develop 2 offshore Assistant Accountants
• Strengthen financial controls and reporting processes
• Drive automation and continuous process improvement
• Build scalable finance processes to support continued growth

Skills and Experience

• CA / CPA qualified
• Strong financial accounting and month-end experience
• Proven balance sheet, controls and reconciliation capability
• Experience preparing management and Board reporting
• Previous team leadership experience
• Strong Excel and financial systems skills
• Hands-on, proactive and comfortable building processes
• Strong communicator with the ability to partner across operations
• Hospitality, retail, FMCG or multi-site experience highly regarded
• Xero experience advantageous
