The Organisation
Mimal Land Management is an Indigenous owned and operated organisation focused on bringing benefits to country and culture for Dalabon, Rembarrnga and Mayili landowners and people of south-central Arnhem Land in the Northern Territory.
Our country is a living landscape – our culture, heritage, laws and language are linked to the land. The area’s natural and cultural assets are managed by Mimal Rangers on behalf of and in cooperation with landowners and custodians.
Under an established Healthy Country Plan, the rangers manage land, water and fire, and conduct wildlife protection,
monitoring and revegetation programs, weed and feral animal control, and carry out rock art, cultural history and
language projects and learning on country education programs with school children.
The Opportunity
This is a key executive leadership role, responsible for leading finance and organisational support services to ensure strong governance, sustainability and operational excellence.
Working closely with the CEO and broader leadership team, you’ll:
Drive financial strategy, reporting and accountability across diverse funding streams
Enable organisational performance through effective systems, processes and support services
Provide strategic insight to inform decision-making and long-term planning
Lead critical functions including administration, WHS, IT, communications and HR support
Strengthen organisational capability and support delivery across remote and complex environments
You’ll play a vital role in ensuring the organisation can continue delivering impactful work on Country.
The role is based in Nightcliff, NT.
About You
Senior leadership experience across finance and organisational support functions
Strong financial stewardship skills including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
Experience working within not-for-profit, government-funded, or community-based environments
A collaborative leadership style with the ability to influence at executive level
Proven ability to build systems, processes and high-performing support teams
Sound understanding of governance, risk and compliance frameworks
Cultural awareness and a commitment to working respectfully within Aboriginal contexts
Clear communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information into actionable insight
Your Reward
$160,000 - $175,000 per annum
