MAYDAY Recruitment is proud to partner with one of Australia's most respected funeral service providers to recruit a Customer Care Specialist to join their supportive Customer Care team based in Holland Park.

Every conversation you have will make a difference. As the first point of contact for families during one of life's most difficult moments, you'll provide compassion, reassurance and practical guidance while coordinating the next steps with professionalism and care.

No previous funeral industry experience is required. If you've built your career delivering exceptional customer service in hospitality, hotels, airlines, retail, healthcare, contact centres, community services or another people-focused environment, we'd love to hear from you. Full training is provided.

What you'll be doing
  • Be the first point of contact for families, providing warmth, empathy and reassurance
  • Manage inbound enquiries with professionalism and genuine care
  • Coordinate services and liaise with internal teams to ensure a seamless experience
  • Accurately record information using multiple systems and technology platforms
  • Guide families through important next steps with confidence and sensitivity
  • Build trusted relationships through exceptional communication and active listening
  • Contribute to a collaborative team culture focused on delivering outstanding service
About you

You'll be someone who genuinely enjoys helping others and can remain calm, organised and compassionate in emotionally sensitive situations.

You'll also bring:

  • Experience in customer service, hospitality, hotels, healthcare, retail, contact centres or another service-focused industry
  • Excellent communication and active listening skills
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask
  • Confidence using technology and learning new systems
  • A mature, resilient and empathetic approach
  • A positive attitude and a genuine desire to make a difference
