Business Project Manager | Process Improvement | NSW State Government

Rate: $550-$750 per day + Super (PAYG) | $550-$750 per day (ABN)

An opportunity for a Business Project Manager to support the delivery of a business process improvement project currently in the discovery phase.

This role would suit a Business Analyst who has transitioned into Project Management or a Senior Project Coordinator ready to step into a Project Manager role.

This is a business-focused rather than technical IT project role, working closely with SMEs and an external delivery partner across requirements, UAT, governance and implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate project delivery from discovery through to implementation.
• Engage with SMEs to gather and clarify business requirements.
• Coordinate workshops and stakeholder activities.
• Support business requirements and BRD sign-off.
• Develop and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Maintain project plans, milestones and deliverables.
• Manage risks, issues, actions and dependencies.
• Prepare project status reports and governance documentation.
• Coordinate with the external delivery partner.
• Support additional business projects and process improvement initiatives as required.

Key Requirements

• Business Project Management, Business Analysis or Senior Project Coordination experience.
• Experience delivering business process improvement or transformation projects.
• Strong stakeholder and SME engagement skills.
• UAT planning and coordination experience.
• Requirements gathering and workshop facilitation experience.
• Experience with project governance, risk and issue management and status reporting.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Finance operations, payments, invoicing, accounts payable or procurement exposure is advantageous but not essential.
