We are seeking a enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as a Treatment Plant Operator.

Whether you already hold a Certificate III Water Industry operations or have experience in wastewater, reticulation, treatment operations, mechanical maintenance, or a similar field, and you're looking to progress your career in the water industry, we encourage you to apply. Comprehensive training, mentorship, and support will be provided, including the opportunity to complete a Certificate III in Water Industry Operations where applicable.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • A willingness to learn and develop new skills
  • Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • The ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Experience in wastewater, reticulation, treatment operations or a related field (desirable but not essential)
About the Role

Working alongside experienced operators, you will assist with the operation and maintenance of water and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, reservoirs and associated infrastructure. Duties include:

  • Operating and monitoring treatment processes and equipment
  • Sampling and testing water and wastewater
  • Conducting inspections and minor maintenance
  • Monitoring plant performance and compliance requirements
  • Supporting environmental and safety outcomes

  • Salary schedule starts at Level 5 $61,334.55, increasing to Level 8
  • Candidates who already hold their Cert III WIO will be renumerated at Level 8 $68,191.62
  • A range of allowances included in base salary

  • 5 weeks annual leave with 17.5% leave loading
