About the Company

Our client is a well-established and highly respected facilities services provider with a strong national presence and an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality Facilities Management solutions across commercial property portfolios.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a key commercial site based in Wollongong.

The Role Reporting to the Senior Facilities Manager, you will take ownership of the operational performance of the site, ensuring maintenance, compliance and contractor management activities are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with client expectations.

You will build strong relationships with key stakeholders while ensuring the property continues to operate at the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day facilities operations of a commercial property.
  • Coordinate preventative and reactive maintenance programs.
  • Manage hard and soft services contractors and monitor service delivery.
  • Ensure statutory compliance and legislative requirements are maintained.
  • Conduct regular building inspections and identify maintenance requirements.
  • Manage work orders through the CMMS system.
  • Prepare maintenance reports and operational documentation.
  • Monitor contractor performance, KPIs and service level agreements.
  • Assist with operational budgets and expenditure tracking.
  • Coordinate minor capital works and building improvement projects.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, tenants and service providers.
  • Support workplace health and safety initiatives and risk management activities.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service is delivered across the site.

About You To be successful in this role you will ideally possess:

  • Previous experience as a Facilities Manager, Assistant Facilities Manager or Building Manager.
  • Experience managing commercial property or mixed-use assets.
  • Strong contractor and stakeholder management skills.
  • Sound understanding of building services including HVAC, electrical, fire and hydraulic systems.
  • Knowledge of statutory compliance and essential services.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office and facilities management systems.
  • Relevant Facilities Management, Building Services or Trade qualifications will be highly regarded.
