Connect.Ed
Posted 19 days ago
Build systems. Lead people. Improve outcomes for children and families.
At Connect.Ed, we believe that the right support, delivered in the right way, can change the trajectory of a child's life.
We are a South Australian organisation comprising two teams:
Early Intervention – providing outreach Occupational Therapy and Speech Pathology services to children and families.
Learning & Development – partnering with educators, schools, early childhood services and government to deliver trauma-informed professional learning, coaching and capacity-building initiatives.
Together, our teams work across metropolitan Adelaide and selected regional communities to improve outcomes for children, families and the professionals who support them.
We're looking for an experienced Operations Manager to join our leadership team and help ensure our people, systems and services continue to operate effectively, efficiently and with purpose.
This is a values-driven leadership role for someone who genuinely enjoys both people and process. Someone who finds just as much satisfaction in supporting a team member to thrive as they do in designing a system that makes everyone's work easier.
We're looking for a people-focused operational leader who can strengthen systems, support teams and help ensure our organisation continues to deliver exceptional outcomes for children and families.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the Director, you will oversee day-to-day operations across the organisation, providing leadership across both our Early Intervention and Learning & Development teams.
You will play a key role in creating the conditions that allow our clinicians, facilitators and support team members to do their best work.
This includes:
Leading and supporting team performance across the organisation
Building strong relationships with team members and fostering a positive, accountable culture
Developing, reviewing and improving operational systems, processes and workflows
Monitoring organisational performance and reporting on key operational metrics
Supporting recruitment, onboarding, performance management and professional development
Managing workforce planning and leave approvals
Overseeing operational aspects of service agreements, contracts and projects
Monitoring budgets and supporting sound financial management
Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, quality and client experience
Working closely with the Director to implement organisational priorities and initiatives
About You
Three things matter most in this role.
You are an exceptional relationship-builder.
You know how to build trust, have honest conversations and create positive, productive working relationships. You enjoy supporting people, navigating challenges and helping teams succeed.
You are a systems thinker.
You naturally look for ways to improve processes, solve problems and create clarity. You understand that strong systems create consistency, reduce stress and improve outcomes for everyone.
You are highly organised and accountable.
You follow through on commitments, manage competing priorities effectively and help others stay focused on what matters most.
You will also bring:
Demonstrated experience in an Operations Manager or similar leadership role
Strong people leadership and performance management experience
Excellent organisational, planning and time-management skills
Experience developing and implementing operational systems and workflows
Strong financial, operational and reporting capability
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
The ability to balance strategic thinking with day-to-day operational oversight
Experience within allied health, disability, education or community services will be highly regarded.
A sound understanding of the NDIS and the operational realities of allied health service delivery will be viewed favourably.
