About the role

This role is responsible for the smooth and organised execution of the competitions organised by Southern Touch. As a vital part of the Southern Touch team, you will combine operational, administrative, and customer service responsibilities in a dynamic, social environment. The successful applicant will be required to work two to three evenings per week during competition season. This is a permanent part-time role at 0.5 FTE (19 hours per week). Exact hours can be negotiated for the successful applicant in order to best support the competition.

Key responsibilities

Coordinate and support match-day operations, ensuring games run smoothly and players, referees, and teams have what they need.

Serve as a friendly first point of contact for members, responding to enquiries and providing excellent customer service.

Assist with administrative duties, including scheduling, record-keeping, data entry and communication with teams and referees.

Support clubroom operations, including bar and canteen service, stock management, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.

Work closely with the Manager to help deliver a seamless experience for all players, referees, and visitors.

About you

Be 18+ years of age (due to bar licensing requirements).

Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate or willingness to complete.

Hold a valid Working with Vulnerable People registration or ability to obtain.

Willingness to be flexible with working hours.

An interest in the sports industry.

Good interpersonal, verbal communication skills, and the ability to provide high-level customer service.

Responsible, self-motivated, professional and able to work without direct supervision.

Motivated to deliver the best for the sport.

Ability to work with a broad group of stakeholders including ST members and volunteers.

Demonstrated ability to utilise a variety of software packages, including competition management systems.
