Senior Network Security Engineer (Projects & Consulting)

A Sydney based Managed Service Provider is partnering with a leading enterprise technology organisation to secure an experienced Senior Network Security Engineer to deliver complex enterprise network and security projects.

This is a hands-on project delivery role, not a BAU operations or support position. We're looking for someone who can confidently engage with clients, understand business requirements, provide technical advice and lead projects from design through to implementation.

Previous experience working within a Professional Services, Consulting, MSP or Systems Integrator environment is highly preferred.

Fortinet experience is essential.
Candidates with experience delivering enterprise firewall migration projects, particularly across Fortinet environments, will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise network and security projects from design through to implementation.
• Engage directly with customers, gathering requirements and providing technical consultation.
• Design, configure and implement Fortinet firewall solutions.
• Deliver enterprise firewall migrations, upgrades and network transformation projects.
• Produce technical documentation, implementation plans and change records.
• Configure and support enterprise routing, switching, WAN and network security environments.
• Execute production changes through structured change management processes.
• Troubleshoot complex network and security issues while working collaboratively with senior engineers.

About You

• Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
• Strong hands-on experience with Fortinet technologies.
• Proven experience delivering enterprise network projects end-to-end.
• Previous experience in a client-facing consulting or professional services role.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build trusted client relationships.
• Experience working within formal change management environments.
• Fortinet certifications and experience with Palo Alto or Cisco technologies will be highly regarded.
