About the role
Team Global Express is seeking a Forklift Operator / HC Driver to commence immediately in Gracemere, Rockhampton. This is a Full-Time Permanent Role, Monday to Friday.
This role will primarily focus on forklift operations within our transport environment, supporting the safe and efficient movement of freight across our operations. You will be responsible for unloading vehicles, loading and unloading containers, preparing PUD vehicles and ensuring freight is handled safely and efficiently.
The role will also provide operational support through HC truck driving duties on an as-required basis, assisting with vehicle movements, deliveries and broader transport operations when required.
Key responsibilities will include:
Operating forklifts to safely load and unload vehicles, containers, trailers and PUD vehicles.
Loading, unloading and staging freight within operational areas.
Preparing freight for delivery runs and ensuring vehicles are loaded correctly and safely.
Assisting with container loading and unloading activities.
Undertaking HC driving duties when required, including completing customer deliveries, supporting semi-trailer operations and providing additional driver coverage to meet operational requirements.
Completing vehicle pre-start checks, delivery documentation and required transport paperwork accurately.
Ensuring all freight is handled, loaded and secured in accordance with company procedures and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements.
Completing freight scanning and documentation accurately.
Maintaining forklifts, vehicles, equipment and work areas in a clean, safe and serviceable condition.
Following all company procedures, including hazard, near miss and incident reporting requirements.
What you'll bring
A current and valid Forklift (LF) Licence.
A current HC Licence or higher will be highly regarded, providing additional operational support and coverage for semi-trailer duties when required.
Previous experience operating forklifts within a transport, freight or logistics environment.
Experience loading and unloading vehicles, containers and PUD vehicles will be highly regarded.
Previous experience completing HC deliveries or working within general freight transport operations will be highly regarded.
A strong understanding of safe freight handling practices and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements.
The ability to work autonomously, follow instructions and prioritise tasks effectively.
Strong safety focus and attention to detail.
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
