Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a Associate Lecturer in Radiation Therapy to join School of Clinical Sciences, Faculty of Health.
We invite outstanding candidates to apply for an ongoing, full-time Associate Lecturer position in Radiation Therapy. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of evidence-based teaching in undergraduate radiation therapy courses, a high level of understanding of contemporary radiation therapy practice, and a track record in research and supervision leading to quality student outcomes. The role of the position includes but is not limited to the coordination of units, teaching and assessment of academic units of study, assisting clinical facilitators and other clinical staff working with students on placement, providing academic support for students both on campus and on placement, supervising students and facilitating clinical learning, and ensuring the quality of student learning experiences.

What you need to succeed
- Completion of a higher degree in Radiation Therapy and a minimum of four years’ experience as a practicing Radiation Therapist.
- Eligible for registration with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia as a Radiation Therapist.
- Demonstrated excellence in, and high-level understanding of, the full scope of contemporary radiation therapy practice in Australia including treatment planning, CT-simulation and treatment.
- Demonstrated experience in clinical teaching including the ability to embed future focused thinking in the development of scholarly and innovative approaches to teaching and learning in clinical settings.
- Experience engaging in Radiation Therapy and interdisciplinary health research with ability to undertake additional/further research.
- Strong organisational skills with the demonstrated ability to coordinate activities, work to deadlines and supervise clinical placements.
- Well-developed aptitude for teamwork and proven ability to work collaboratively.
- Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity and Indigenous Australian engagement.
To be eligible for appointment to this role, you will possess the following: - Additional certification required for ongoing clinical practice or clinical supervision (blue card, CPR, and full vaccination including an approved COVID19 vaccine).
