ABOUT THE ROLE

Title: Disability Support Worker
Location: Brunswick, Victoria
Salary: $36.22 - $39.53 per hour + super + salary packaging
Employment Type: Casual

We are looking for passionate and experienced Disability Support Workers with Auslan Skills who take a person-centred approach when supporting people with a disability.

In this role, you will be providing active support to our Deafblind clients within our new Supported Independent Living accommodation in the heart of Brunswick. You will assist clients to build skills, increase independence, and foster meaningful connections.

You will be supporting and encouraging individuals to participate in a wide range of activities aligned with their hobbies, interests, communication needs, and the goals outlined in their NDIS support plans.

Skills and experience required to be successful in this role:

Essential:

• Completed Diploma or Cert IV in Auslan or equivalent lived experience.
• The roster includes a range of shifts; you must be available for sleepover shifts
• Intermediate computer skills (ie: using Microsoft Outlook, documentation in a client management tool/CRM, Carelink +).
• Right to work in Australia
• NDIS Workers Screening Check / willingness to obtain
• Valid First Aid & CPR

Highly regarded and desirable:

• A relevant qualification in Disability, Individual Support, Allied Health, Mental Health or working towards it.
