Petit Crenn Melbourne is scheduled to open in October 2026 and is centrally located on Collins Street in the historic InterContinental Melbourne The Rialto.
About the Role
As a Bartender, you deliver quality service, reporting directly to the Bar Manager. In this hands-on role, you will create classic cocktails, serve a curated range of quality wines and deliver exceptional guest experiences. Working alongside passionate professionals, you will champion a global brand renowned for its excellence, authenticity, and innovation, ensuring every guest interaction reflects our commitment to outstanding service, premium beverages, and memorable moments.
Both full-time and part-time opportunities are available for the right person.
Duties and Responsibilities
Service the day-to-day operations of the bar, ensuring service standards are met and exceptional guest experiences are delivered.
Ensure all bar areas are opened, operated and closed in accordance with departmental standards and procedures.
Manage guest feedback and complaints professionally, keeping the Restaurant Manager informed of significant issues and outcomes.
Process guest transactions accurately and in line with company policies and cash-handling procedures.
Ensure compliance with all health, safety and licensing regulations across bar operations, equipment and practices.
Maintain beverage quality standards, ensuring consistency in preparation, presentation and service.
Drive beverage knowledge, training and upselling capability across the team.
Ensure effective use of POS and inventory systems, with accurate transaction recording and team training.
Support beverage promotions, special events, seasonal menus and sales initiatives.
Maintain administrative processes relating to reservations, events, staff records, stock ordering and operational documentation.
Drive sales through beverage programs, promotions, and upselling.
Foster a positive, high-performing culture aligned with company values.
Maintain Workplace Health & Safety compliance and ensure all team members receive required training, including responsible service of alcohol, equipment operation, hazard awareness and emergency procedures.
Perform other duties as outlined in the position description or directed by your manager.
What We Need from You
You must hold a valid and unrestricted work visa to work in Australia
At least 2-3 years previous bartending experience in an upscale wine bar, high-end restaurant, or luxury hotel
Excellent knowledge of Australian, US and French wines, and spirits (WSET certification is preferred)
Strong experience preparing classic cocktails with quality ingredients.
Victorian Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certification
Qualifications in Hotel Management, Business and/or Food & Beverage related field preferred
Excellent interpersonal skills, charming personality and ability to talk to guests from all walks of life.
A team player, ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritise workloads, as well as assist in supporting your team with other duties as required
