About the role

Our new Shapland Swim School at Redbank Plains is seeking a qualified teacher and a trainee teacher to join our team of dedicated professionals at our swim school located in Redbank Plains, QLD. This is a casual position, with the opportunity to work in a supportive and dynamic environment. Must be available to work Saturday and from 6.30am during the week.

What you'll be doing

Providing high-quality swimming lessons to swimmers of all ages and abilities

Developing and implementing lesson plans that cater to the individual needs of each student

Ensuring the safety and well-being of all students during lessons

Maintaining accurate student records and providing feedback to parents/guardians

Assisting with the setup and pack-up of equipment as needed

Ongoing professional development

What we're looking for

Enthusiasm and a genuine passion for swimming and teaching

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work effectively in a team and independently

Willingness to learn and develop your skills as a swimming teacher

A current WWCC (Working with Children Check) or the ability to obtain one

Previous experience in coaching or teaching swimming is desirable, but not essential

Recognised swimming instructor qualification required for qualified teacher positions.

Valid Australian work authorisation required if from overseas. Sorry we do not offer sponsorship.

Trainee wages

You will be paid while training at age appropriate wages of Level 1 of the fitness industry award, once qualified the rate will go up.

Must have a car available for use.

Qualified teachers

Will be paid according to number of years taught in the industry.
