About the Role
As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will provide expert clinical leadership and support in the assessment, treatment, and ongoing management of older adults experiencing complex mental health conditions, including dementia-related behavioural and psychological symptoms.

Working within a collaborative multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to the delivery of evidence-based care, quality improvement initiatives, and best-practice mental health services across the community.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of consumers with complex mental health needs, including individuals living with dementia.
• Deliver specialist assessments, care planning, intervention, and ongoing case management.
• Provide education, guidance, and support to carers, families, and support networks.
• Act as a clinical resource for nursing, medical, and allied health professionals.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate clinical guidelines, quality improvement projects, and evidence-based practice initiatives.
• Collaborate with community agencies, healthcare providers, and key stakeholders to support positive consumer outcomes.
• Promote recovery-oriented, trauma-informed, and person-centred care principles.

About You
To be successful, you will bring:

• Current nursing registration with demonstrated experience in mental health nursing.
• Strong clinical skills in the management of complex mental health presentations.
• Knowledge of, or the ability to quickly develop knowledge of, relevant legislation, policies, and clinical frameworks.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• A commitment to person-centred and trauma-informed approaches to care.
• The ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Salary & Benefits
Salary: $109,767 - $115,813 per annum
Plus 12% employer superannuation
