About the role:

This position requires the successful candidate to perform electrical overhaul and repairs on a large & varied fleet of locomotives.

This includes:

Maintaining, repairing, testing & commissioning of locomotives.

Providing general maintenance support for locomotives.

Carrying out fault analysis within the locomotive systems.

Identify and source material and parts requirements.

Completing all relevant and required documentation and checks.

Other tasks as required.

About you:

Ability to read, comprehend and apply technical drawings.

High level of communication and interpersonal skills.

High level of problem-solving skills and the ability to work as part of a dynamic team.

Ability and willingness to further your knowledge and skills with additional training.

High level record keeping ability.

Ability to work shifts and overtime as required

Skills and experience:

Trade qualifications (Electrical or suitable related disciplines).

Electrical licence.

Locomotive experience advantageous but not essential. We are willing to train the right candidate.

Previous experience working within a heavy maintenance/ asset management environment preferred but not essential.

Crane/Doggers ticket advantageous.

Forklift licence preferred but not essential.
