Purpose

The Senior Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate and compliant financial records, ensuring the integrity of the organisation’s accounting data and supporting the timely preparation of month-end and year-end financial reporting. The role prepares and reviews balance sheet reconciliations, investigates and resolves discrepancies, monitors the quality and accuracy of financial transactions, and assists with the preparation of management reports, statutory reporting, and audit requirements. The Senior Accountant plays a key role in strengthening financial controls, improving accounting processes, and providing reliable financial information to support informed decision-making across the organisation.

The ideal candidate

  • CPA or CA qualified with at least five years’ experience in accounting or financial accounting roles.
  • Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, month-end close processes, and balance sheet management.
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare journals, accruals, prepayments, and other month-end adjustments.
  • Proven experience completing account reconciliations, including trial balance and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • High attention to detail with a strong commitment to financial accuracy, compliance, and data integrity.
  • Experience using ERP/accounting systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills for financial analysis and reporting.
