An established but growing Accounting and Business Advisory practice in Newcastle is looking for an experienced Operations Manager to bring structure, efficiency and momentum across the business.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys improving processes, getting systems working smarter and solving operational challenges, as well as overseeing a small administration/reception team

The Role

Reporting to the People & Performance Manager, you'll oversee day-to-day operations, manage a small admin team, workflow, systems and process improvement, working closely with Partners and key stakeholders.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Coordinating operational workflow and support functions
  • Overseeing administrators, reception staff and an offshore support team
  • General property/facilities management of the office
  • Optimising systems including Xero Practice Manager, Ignition, Karbon, Xero and Microsoft 365
  • Driving process improvement, and ad hoc systems work
  • Managing software providers, IT partners and external suppliers
  • Supporting workplace technology, facilities and onboarding/offboarding
  • Helping identify and remove operational bottlenecks
  • Supporting team engagement, training and business initiatives

About You

You'll ideally have experience in Operations, Practice Management, Office Management or a similar role, Bonus points if its within professional services, accounting, financial services, legal or consulting.

  • Confident with technology and systems
  • Strong at project and workflow coordination
  • A proactive problem solver
  • Comfortable managing stakeholders and external providers
  • Focused on continuous improvement and finding smarter ways of working
