We're partnering with a respected Australian organisation to recruit an experienced Senior Payroll Officer to join their established payroll team in Fremantle.

This is an opportunity to step into a senior position where you'll take ownership of accurate end-to-end payroll processing for a large workforce while acting as a key support to the Payroll Supervisor. Working as part of a collaborative team of five, you'll be trusted to handle complex payroll matters, provide guidance to junior team members and help drive best practice across the function.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process end-to-end payroll across weekly, fortnightly and monthly pay cycles
• Support the Payroll Supervisor with the day-to-day management of payroll operations
• Review payroll for accuracy and ensure compliance with relevant legislation
• Interpret Modern Awards, Enterprise Agreements and payroll legislation
• Process superannuation, PAYG, payroll tax and Single Touch Payroll
• Manage terminations, leave reconciliations, allowances, deductions and back pay calculations
• Support and mentor Payroll Officers within the team
• Prepare payroll reports, reconciliations and assist with audit requirements

About You:

• 3+ years' experience in end-to-end payroll
• Strong knowledge of Modern Awards, Enterprise Agreements and payroll legislation
• Experience working in a high-volume, complex payroll environment
• Advanced Excel skills with strong analytical ability
• Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Confident communicator who enjoys working collaboratively
• UKG experience is advantageous but not essential
