You'll work closely with obstetric teams, meet incredible donors, and bring your nursing expertise to a highly specialised and deeply rewarding spacing.

With shifts from 6:00am–2:30pm, a Monday–Thursday roster, and work locations at Randwick (Royal Hospital for Women and Prince of Wales Private Hospital) or Camperdown (RPA Women and Babies), you’ll enjoy a unique mix of consistency and variety based on donor demand. What you'll be doing
- Identify and assess potential donors in liaison with the obstetric teams, in accordance with Sydney Cord Blood Bank (SCBB) donor selection criteria.
- Coordinate all requirements of cord blood collection at affiliated collection sites including management of critical material, recruitment and consent of donors, maternal interview and donor eligibility evaluation, and performing cord blood and maternal blood collections when required
- Perform training and education in relation to collection activities for SCBB staff and obstetric teams, including accreditation of obstetric team staff

- Registered Nurse with current registration through the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia approved qualification
- Current registration with the National Registration Board (AHPRA)
- Demonstrated evidence of autonomy in decision making skills
- Validated competency in venepuncture, and/or demonstrated previous venepuncture experience
- Demonstrated advanced leadership skills and ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team, with evidence of contribution to the development of clinical practice
- Demonstrated ability to undertake consent interview and documentation with patients in a professional and sensitive manner, taking into consideration privacy, cultural differences and the precise recording of a medical history
- Current unencumbered Australian C Class Drivers Licence
